I am the Chair of the Trustees of Susan's Farm CIO. I was a senior social worker in London before moving to Cumbria over eight years ago. I also line manage some of the staff.

I started volunteering one day a week at Susan's during the first lockdown, which soon became 5 days as I enjoyed it so much. When I returned to my day job as a PE teacher at Austin Friars, I was delighted to be asked to be a trustee. I love seeing the impact working with the animals has on everyone at Susan's Farm.

I am Susan's daughter and live with my family at Susan's Farm's Armathwaite base. I look after the cattle and sheep there at the weekends. My day jobs are as a land agent, running the Foundation for Common Land and a Professor in Practice at University of Cumbria.

For the last 10 years, I was the Head Teacher of Houghton School, whose pupils have benefited from regular visits to Susan's Farm. I have watched the educational provision grow and am supporting the continuing development. Via a post in the educational advisory team at Cumbria County Council, I am now Head Teacher at Blackford School.
