Davis is a retired teacher with an M.A. in Creative Practice and an interest in alternative photographic processes. His work explores aspects of the community and the natural world.

In these workshops, participants will explore how photographs can be made by pressing items found on the farm against light sensitive paper. After exposure to UV light and a simple development process, the impressions of flowers, leaves, feathers and other items are recorded as photograms. It is an almost magical process that anyone can carry out successfully, regardless of artistic experience. For those people who wish to develop their skills further, there will be workshops on a contact printing to follow later in the year. This is where a photograph is converted to a black and white negative and printed onto clear plastic to be used instead of flowers and feathers.

Participants will need to supply images (up to 3 jpegs) in advance for the July workshops. Please send these to davidlush038@gmail.com
